The legal traditions, ethical frameworks, and institutional structures needed to govern this reality are still forming.

The bDNA Foundation was established as a neutral, independent institution to formulate those frameworks. It advances the emergence of Lex Cryptographica — the law of the chain — by convening academics, legal scholars, and sovereign institutions, and by maintaining open technical standards in service of integrity and provenance.

The Foundation convenes academics, legal scholars, lawmakers, and sovereign institutions. It advances the recognition that this domain constitutes a coherent subject of governance. It upholds the standards that give that governance its foundation.
